The Last Resort Hotel was a ‘filler’ building created to occupy a strange space behind the forks of an elevated highway. The building was constructed using parts of an Outland Models Modern Building Five-Story Apartment. I experimented with changing the windows to sliding glass doors behind Juliet balconies and adding an extra story to the building’s height. This particular build was challenging as I ran into problems with adhesives, paints, and technical errors while recording the video. Overall, I’m happy with the results, and the building fits nicely into its setting. The silver lining for this project was the addition of some new 3D printed details. I have purchased a 3D printer, and I’m excited to combine printed components with kitbashed buildings.
