The bridge was constructed using several Tomix bridge kits. The bridges were primed with black paint, successive coats of burnt umber and raw sienna, and then lightly weathered with pastel chalks. The original bridge piers were painted to mimic stone masonry, weathered with an India Ink wash and detailed with chalks and ground foam. The foliage was added to the trusses by applying course ground foam with full-strength PVA glue and set in place with diluted PVA. Vines were fashioned by coating thread in PVA glue before being dredged through ground foam. Vines were attached to the bridge with superglue, dampened, and then shaped using small weights to remove twists and warps. The final structure was epoxied in place, and the glue joints were camouflaged with rock scatter and ground foam.
